Gifting a hijab to my newly-hijabi wife, what do I actually buy?

I want to gift some hijabs to my wife who recently started wearing hijab, but I have no clue about fabrics or what she would actually like. What is a safe, thoughtful thing to buy?

This is so lovely of you. Safest thoughtful gift: an instant hijab in a soft neutral (black, mauve, soft beige). It is the easiest thing in the world to wear, feels a little luxe, and works with everything, so she will actually reach for it. Add a couple of good undercaps and you are a hero. There is a whole guide to gifting a hijab that nails the details.

Neutrals over bold colours and prints if you are unsure, she can pair neutrals with anything. You can always let her pick the fun colours later.

Quality over quantity. One really nice one she loves beats five scratchy ones. Check it is a natural, breathable fabric.

If you want a foolproof shortlist to pick from: best beginner-friendly hijabs. Hard to go wrong with any on that list.

Update: got her an instant hijab in mauve plus two undercaps and she teared up. Thank you all so much.
